Just got in the Windows Media Center and DirecTV...
I assume the program is to test out the HDPC-20 on Window Media Center.  I’m looking forward to extending DirecTV throughout the house via XBOX 360’s.  All my TV shows, movies, music, and photos will be able to go to every TV in the house.  Sure beats installing different set-top boxes on each TV set and not having the same content on the different DVRs. Shots from my cell phone and the Georgia Aquarium
The Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta is the world’s largest indoor aquarium.  It had 3 whale sharks and 3 beluga whales as the highlights.  The jellyfish exhibits were intimate and peaceful.  The thousands of kids on Spring Break?  Not so peaceful. (the grouper above the people was bigger than them) (you could walk under the fish as they swam overhead) (A small tropical fish aquarium.  This...

Space Shuttle shots
Here are some shots of Endeavour and Discovery from my trip earlier this week.  My film camera shots were awful and not worth sharing (including the shots of the actual ignition of Endeavour).  My digital camera also broke on the trip meaning I couldn’t take many shots.  But, I’ve got several hundred more shots to upload later from another camera.  I’ll share those later. Here...

STS-123 launch videos
This was scheduled to be NASA’s last night launch. Step 1: Go to Best Buy and purchase their most expensive sub woofer and hook it up to your computer. Step 2: Click play. Step 3 (optional): Purchase two Maglight flashlights. Put them over your eyes and keep your eyes open. (This is the angle most like the one I saw)

I'm back from Kennedy Space Center
I was standing in front of the Launch Control Center at KSC when I saw the STS-123 launch this morning.  It went up at 2:30AM.  We didn’t back to our hotel until 5AM. I’ll write a post about the trip soon.  It was amazing and I took some decent pictures despite my digital camera crapping out on me.  Windows Mobile 5.0 crashed on my cellphone which meant that I wasn’t able to...

Pics from Memphis on yesterday
Beale Street FedEx Forum A view from our seats Memphis was very cold.  They got about 6-inches of snow earlier in the day.  Most of it had melted away by the time we arrived.  We went straight to Rendezvous Charcoal Ribs.  It’s located down an alley 1 block from the Peabody Hotel.  Rendezvous was packed, even at 4:30 in the afternoon.  The ribs were dry.  I prefer Dreamland. After the...

Rendezvous Charcoal Rips in Memphis TN
The ribs are dry.  The meat is the best ribs I’ve had.  The dry rub is something I’m going to have to get used to.  This place is packed. Sent from my Motorola Q smartphone

Netvibes wants me to change my universe name.
I got an email from Netvibes support today asking me to change my Netvibes universe name, which is EA.  We would like to thank you for your participation in our beta program and for the huge interest you had in creating your public page but it has come to our attention that the name you selected for your Netvibes universe (which appears on the URL of your universe) may be in violation of our...

Enterprise tornado. It's been a year.
Today marks the one year anniversary of the Enterprise tornado that destroyed many homes and buildings in the area.  Here’s a link to some pictures that I took a few days after the tornado pass through. I went through Enterprise in late 2007 and many homes on the street that you see in my pictures have been repaired.  People are rebuilding their homes. I was in awe of the evidence of power...
