As I think about social networking and personal publishing, I scratch my head.  I’m really stumped at all of this.  I’ve got accounts on dozens of major websites.  Practically none of them talk to each other. 

I’ve even got accounts on websites that overlap in functionality.  I mean, Twitter is really cool.  But do I really need Twitter when I’ve got Facebook status updates? Do I really need Pownce when I’ve got Twitter, MySpace, Blogger, etc.?  Good grief. 

My life is becoming a database.  So much of my life is digitally stored on a hard drive somewhere.  For instance, I can run a query and search for the number of friends that will be available to attend a LAN party (granted, the query will take a week or so to run).  Should ericatkins.com be my digital hub?

This website continues to evolve.  While working a my new project for Sojourn, I tested some things out at ea.com last night.  The results are promising yet subtle.

I am probably going to change ea.com into a “Tumblelog”.  I don’t have time to write epic blog posts.  But, I do have time to spout out quick blurbs of information.  I’m on my way to making a Tumble system for Drupal.  More later.
