Afterall, this site is a testbed for my overrated PHP and MySQL skills.

You can now comment on “quick links”.

After hacking the way that I use Yahoo! Pipes to automatically publish bookmarks that I call “quick links” to the front page of this site, I accidentally turned off the ability for you to comment on those items.  This was after I specifically went into the code to ALLOW you to comment on the “quick links”.   Sheesh.  I figured out what I was doing wrong.

I also went back into the database and updated all “quick links” that didn’t have comments enabled.  I did this via a MySQL command:

update node set comment = 2 where type = "aggregation_item";

I’ve also decided to implement the reCAPTCHA spam prevention module for my visitors.  It works for a good cause as well.  Digitizing books.  One blog comment at a time.

Now.  I wonder why my Archive view isn’t working…
