Traffic building tips for your blog
I recently participated in a traffic building survey over at Daily Blog Tips as part of a “Blog Project”. My experiences with the launch of the new Hushed Casket website have been great and I wanted to share some of my tips. I think I’m qualified. Since launching the Hushed Casket website at the start of the new year, traffic has risen 900%, and our Technorati presence is increasing by dozens of linking blogs each week. We’ve even been mentioned on Digg.com, ArsTechnica, Kotaku, Destructoid, and Wired. I am proud to say that the site has also been featured on several CSS gallery design related websites. And that was my tip. Redesign your site or give it a new look with CSS to see if the CSS showcase websites pick it up. If they do, you’ll get more traffic, links into your site, and reach a new audience.

A simple tip that will probably boost your page views: install a translator plugin. I decided to use a paid plugin for this, but if I am not wrong there are some free ones as well. The translation is not very good, as you can imagine, but it helps to attract readers that are not fluent in English.
